Birdaro is developing a modular training program that will support open-source project teams with improving the leadership, maintenance, and sustainability of their projects.

We have conducted extensive research to develop the program, including surveys and interviews with dozens of open-source project teams to understand their challenges. In 2023, we also piloted a version of the program and are actively incorporating feedback into the next iteration.

The final 2025 program syllabus will be determined after we identify the specific needs and interests of our applicants. Participants can expect a highly-interactive range of training formats including 90-minute workshops, longer-form training series, and bootcamps.

  • Business skills
  • Community engagement
  • Governance
  • Organizational management
  • Systems-health considerations

Applicants should carefully review the training FAQs and submit their preferences via the Birdaro training program application form.
